6 Causes of the Nightmares


No one who wants to wake up from sleep due to having a bad dream. Nightmares occur due to the very rapid eye movements during the night due to the circumstances do not consciously remember very clearly about the various things that scary or worrisome.

Nightmares usually occur in children because often feel fear, but often also experienced by adults because of feelings of anxiety that hit. Virtually anything that can cause you to have nightmares?

1. Anxiety and stress. Anxiety and stress often caused by traumatic events in the past. People who eat spicy foods more often awake and had lower sleep quality. Spicy foods are proven to increase body temperature and result in sleep disorders. This may also be the reason why some people get bad dreams when they are just eating at bedtime. Several studies have reported that eating as close to bedtime can affect the body's metabolism and increase brain activity, causing a nightmare.

3. Fatty foods. Several studies have shown, the more consumption of foods high in fat, most likely the number and quality of your sleep will be minor. A study published in Psychological Reports found that the dreams of people who eat organic foods different from the people who eat junk food.

4. Alcohol. Alcohol is a material which is an antidepressant that can help you to fall asleep in the short term. However, after the effect is lost, alcohol will only get you into trouble sleeping. Excess consumption can also create a nightmare.

5. Of drugs. Several types of drugs including antidepressants, barbiturates, and narcotics can cause nightmares as a side effect of its use. In a study published in the Journal of Psychopharmacology, revealed that ketamine, a drug used in anesthesia-will create inconvenience to sleep and nightmares when compared with other drugs

6. The disease. Various types of the disease include fever, or flu, often trigger nightmares and other sleep disorders.
